Every Lantern Point house is listed at the number of occupants the Town of Fairfield has approved for it. That number is on the listing before you ever tour, and it does not move.
Why it exists
Occupancy limits are a life-safety rule. They are tied to egress, bedrooms, and the systems in the house, and the town enforces them on every rental in the beach area, not just ours.
Why we hold to it
Overfilling a house puts the tenants at risk, puts the house's rental permit at risk, and puts the neighborhood relationships we depend on at risk. We would rather lose a group than sign one more person than a house allows.
What it means for you
Size your group to the listing, not the other way around. If you have one more friend than a house allows, tell us. There is usually a house on a nearby street that fits, and we would rather find it with you than say no later.
